Final Institute of 2009 brought together 51 Eurasian leaders

OC’s eleventh and final 2009 Institute for Excellence in Christian Leadership Development took place November 9-13 in Minsk, Belarus. The event was hosted by Minsk Theological Seminary. Fifty-one leaders from 21 strategic training programs in the region attended the Institute, representing Austria, Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.

During the five-day Institute themed “Nurturing Spiritual Formation in the Seminary,” participants focused on the hearts of students, not simply their head and hands, as part of a holistic approach to student growth. The seminary leaders were equipped with a deeper understanding of spiritual formation, so that it can be intentionally integrated into the entire program, curriculum and culture of their seminaries.

The 2010 Institutes for Excellence will focus on “Re-envisioning Seminary-Church Relationships.” Please look for updates next year.
