“I keep learning to stay faithful to the calling that God has placed in my heart”

After earning his undergraduate degree from Evangelical Theological Seminary (ETS), Croatia, Marino Mojtic was led to serve in Macedonia. During his six years there, he had “a chance to see the Lord plant new churches, help us work in humanitarian aid during the Kosovo crisis, see people come to faith and many other wonderful blessings,” including his wife and their first child.

As the number of churches started to grow and more people gained interest in the Lord during that time, Marino felt called to equip himself with better knowledge. He wanted to earn a Master of Theology degree, so he could “train potential leaders who might not have an opportunity to leave everything and attend a seminary.” Since graduating from ETS in 2006, Marino has returned to Macedonia and continued the vision that God gave him to equip leaders.

“One of the lessons I keep learning is to stay faithful to the calling that God has placed in my heart,” he says. “The storms of life come and go, and many times, financial struggles [associated with being in ministry] seemed to be overwhelming enough to [stop serving]…but God has opened doors that I was not able to imagine…and now, I have a chance to visit churches and encourage the believers to seek the Lord.”

The seminary says, “We are pleased that Marino has seen much success through his leadership skills and his search for the knowledge necessary to be tomorrow’s teacher.”
