Overseas Council welcomes Victor Nakah to the team

OC is pleased to announce our new Regional Director for Africa, Rev. Dr. Victor Nakah. Victor, his wife, Nosizo and their two daughters, Nothabo and Rumbidzaishe, make their home in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Victor was recently awarded his ThD by Stellenbosch University for his thesis, “Salvific significance of the cross of Christ in Shona culture.”

Before joining OC as the Africa Regional Director, Victor served as the President of the Theological College of Zimbabwe (TCZ) for 10 years. He has also served on staff with Scripture Union and the Fellowship of Christian Unions (IFES) in Zimbabwe. Victor is both a minister and theologian and therefore takes the relationship of the church and seminary very seriously. He is passionate about spiritual, biblical and contextual leadership and defines the crisis in Africa as a lack of this sort of leadership in both church and society. He also enjoys expository preaching and preaches often at mission and student conferences and in a number of churches as he travels on the continent and abroad.

Victor will receive part-time assistance, particularly in Francophone Africa, from Rev. Philippe Emedi, who is currently on study-leave from the Accrediting Council for Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA).
