Though thousands in the Gaza Strip have been without food, medical supplies and power since the
Israel-Gaza conflict, the
Musalaha reconciliation ministry has been able to provide 1,200 families with food, medical care and home repairs through their partnership with the Gaza Baptist Church and many generous donations to the relief effort. Musalaha is led by Director Salim J. Munayer, PhD, who also serves as a faculty member at
Bethlehem Bible College (BBC) in the West Bank.
Please pray for Musalaha’s ministry, that they would be able to attain an entry permit for a psychologist to begin the counseling process for those dealing with trauma after the Israel-Gaza conflict. Counseling is also being provided to Israeli trauma victims in the southern communities. “God is working through this relief effort, and the people of Gaza are responsive to the aid that is offered to them,” says Dr. Munayer. “Continue to uplift the work of reconciliation in your prayers as we see the hand of God involved in the lives of those seeking to do His will. Though we walk through troublesome times, whether it is the conflict in this land or the financial crisis that has hit us heavily, we know that we can come before God, trust in Him and that He will listen to our prayers.”

between Palestinian Arab Christians and Israeli Messianic Jews based on the basic foundation of their faith in Jesus Christ, emphasizing biblical commandments and the life and teaching of Jesus to love one’s neighbors and even one’s enemies. The ministry imparts “skills, expertise, knowledge, tools for conflict-resolution and teaching on history, the other side and the principles of reconciliation,” says Dr. Munayer. More than 125 young adults are involved in the thriving Palestinian leadership training program with the goal to expand training to other parts of the country. Besides reconciliation and leadership, the leaders are trained in team building and time management and were able interact, build relationships and begin networking.
