More than 21,000 graduates call this Argentina institute their alma mater
The FIET Theological Institute in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was founded in 1977. The interdenominational institute has grown from 18 to 31,000 students today in 20 countries. The graduate total is now over 21,000 with Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor and Master’s degrees.
FIET’s commitment of unity with the Church and its leadership is at the center of their mission. Their unique ministry involves traveling around the region to over 600 churches to train students and provide courses to address the particular needs of each church. The institute is currently working to start centers for pastoral training in cities where there are no possibilities for theological and ministerial formation.
Through their pastoral leaders program, FIET has also prepared 400 prisoners in Argentina to be pastors to their prison mates. “Before I met Jesus Christ, my life had no meaning,” shares one prisoner/pastoral leader. “I want to thank every person that made it possible for this study to come into my life.”
FIET provides continuing education for pastors and alumni and is beginning to offer most of their programs online.
